At Sweet San Isidro Bakery, we’re a family-run business sharing the flavors of our home—San Isidro, Buenos Aires—through the pastries we love most: alfajores and empanadas.
Baking has always been a family tradition. Sunday afternoons meant gathering in the kitchen with my children, sharing mate (our traditional yerba mate leaf infused tea), and making pastries the way my mother taught me. When we moved to the U.S. over 20 years ago, we brought these recipes with us, never imagining they’d one day inspire a business.
It all started with baking for friends. Then friends of friends began calling, asking for our pastries for their parties and celebrations. Before long, we were baking hundreds each week—and Sweet San Isidro was born.
Today, we still make our alfajores just like we did back home—by hand, with simple ingredients and lots of love. Our empanadas are also made entirely from scratch, including the dough, just the way we’ve always done it in our family kitchen. We hope our pastries bring you a little taste of Argentina—and the warmth of a family kitchen.
Muchas gracias,
Mirta Romero & Family
